Dr. Cameron D. Clark, Chiropractic physician, is a certified Athletic Trainer and certified in Acupuncture. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Carroll College and went on to National University of Health Sciences to obtain a second bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and his Doctorate in Chiropractic.

Founded in 1981, Turning Point’s mission is to “Confront Violence against Women and Children in McHenry County.” Turning Point serves more than 1,700 women, children and men each year in an effort to create a safe environment for families, and diminish the effects of domestic violence on all family members.

In providing services to those experiencing violence, Turning Point addresses the immediate and sometimes desperate needs of clients. These needs may include crisis intervention, emergency shelter, non-legal and legal advocacy, case management, food pantry, programs for children and a “Partner Abuse Intervention Program,” all of are provided by a bi-lingual and bi-cultural staff

Incorporated on May 20, 1981, Turning Point received its 501(c)(3) status in April 1983. Since its inception, Turning Point has developed innovative programs that take advantage of domestic violence laws, increasing the quantity and enhancing the quality of services available to clients. As well, its years of service have created long-time alliances, partnerships and linkages in the county that result in comprehensive assistance and protection for battered women and children. Turning Point works with area police departments, healthcare providers, social service agencies, schools and colleges, and other governmental agencies. By educating police officers, the States Attorney’s office, the court system, medical personnel, and other critical services, Turning Point strengthens the capacity of the county to help resolve serious social problems that result from domestic violence.

Women constitute the overwhelming majority of people who experience the crime of domestic violence, a crime that crosses all economic, cultural, religious, racial, ethnic, and educational barriers. All services are available in English and Spanish.
